Article 40

Hello Members & Friends!

I wanted to follow up on Martin’s request yesterday for contacting City & County Officials for SPLOST use in crime prevention. I’ve written a short form letter for your use, if you decide to join our petition for funding for crime fighting technology. You can access the letter by clicking here, or visiting the website at www.saveoursavannah.com. The standard letter just makes it a bit easier for members & friends to call for action from City / County Managers, City Council & County Commissioners on the crime reduction initiative.

The letter is easy enough to use; just replace the address information at the top with the appropriate name & address for the Official you would like to address. Then insert your name at the bottom, print & sign the letter, and send via either fax or post to the appropriate person. Of course, you are always free to write a letter of your own, or make a phone call to your Council Representative or Commissioner, informing him / her that you support the use of SPLOST funds for achieving maximum public safety in Savannah & Chatham County. Click here for a list of addresses, titles, & phone / fax numbers.

One more thing…in order to keep track of our impact as a citizen organization, I’d really appreciate an email to rebecca@saveoursavannah.com, just indicating who you’ve contacted about the funding initiative. That quick task will really help us keep tabs on our progress, and help us identify what future action might be necessary to encourage funding for use in crime prevention.

Thanks so much for your time & involvement, and again, I look forward to seeing you all this coming Wednesday at the presentation!

Have a great weekend

Becky
