SEMINAR ON PUBLIC SAFETY: SPONSORED BY THE ARDSLEY PARK NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH ASSOCIATION

SUNDAY, APRIL 30TH, 4:00: FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH AT 520 WASHINGTON AVENUE

The proactive members & directors of the Ardsley Park Neighborhood Watch Association have openly invited the community to an exciting seminar on personal safety. Mr. Dick Wallace has been kind enough to inform us of a visit by an esteemed speaker next Sunday, April 30, 2006 at 4:00. The event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 520 Washington Avenue, and will offer a unique opportunity to reinforce and expand your knowledge on safety.

Mr. J. Trincher Watkins, who holds an impressive resume devoted to crime reduction, now heads the Multi-State Crime Interdiction Unit. The purpose of this organization is to help the general public reduce its chances of becoming potential crime victims. It offers high probability solutions to “high risk situations, and advises the public on ideas such as what the criminal looks for in a potential victim, and how to reduce one’s vulnerability to possible attacks.

The comprehensive seminar will include topics such as car-jackings, car theft, and car safety; juvenile crimes and signs of juvenile gang activity; drugs and drug paraphernalia; home security systems; muggings and purse snatchings; rape and rape prevention; shopping safety; workplace safety; and travel safety.

Reduce your chances of becoming a statistic. Be responsible for your own safety, and take control of your fears. Attending this seminar and learning more about the situations that surround you every day could ultimately save your life.
